I am AMI KHATAU, I have been doing yoga with Krishna ji – thrice week every Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays in 4.50 a.m. batch I have been in her class for about two and a half months now, what I would like to talk about her classes specifically is – how grounding, calm, peaceful and meditative they are – as opposed to power yoga class which is so high on movement and so tiring at the end of the class. Krishnaji’s class feels more peaceful, more calm and very energetic after the class is over so you have so much strength, balance and calmness over you to start off the day. What I have also appreciated a lot in her classes is she works with you “on a one on one basis” where ever you stand in terms of your yoga practice – she will start for you as a beginner – as in for me… as I have not done yoga for a couple of months prior to doing this class…. so I wanted to begin from the start and slowly start getting back to my original stamina and strength so this kind of building up strength, along with your breathing pattern and along with meditative practices is very helpful – she also helps you in increasing your positive thinking, calming your mind before going to sleep, releasing the stress from your body in terms with certain state of asanas. I approached her for certain problem of medical condition that I needed the help with so she incorporated that in our daily practices give a particular asana that could help us release some stress on that particular organ within the body, and how to strengthen your eyesight. so these are various things that changed she incorporate into her daily yogic practices and she is flexible with you on the kind of practices that you want to incorporate into your one hour of yoga session – example : I requested her to keep increasing the Intensity of the yoga asanas that we do moving forward and she is kind enough to put that into practice… increase our Surya Namaskar exercises. “Better the technique before you move on to increasing the intensity that is always been her Mantra” – which is something that I identified with her quite a lot, so I request anybody who’s looking to do a very calm, Peaceful start of the day, do try out for class – she is pretty knowledgeable and very very down to earth about that and which I really appreciate in her. She is a very soft spoken person who I hope to imbibe in my practices, so thank you very much and hope you all the best.”
